We’ve been wanting to update you, but we have been so focused on surviving that we just didn’t get around to it. Asher is home and we are grateful but exhausted! We had a few days with just the 3 of us and then big brother returned from Meemaw and Pawpaw’s house. Brennan was so excited to see all of us and especially Asher!
We feel like we have a newborn again. Asher is still re-learning to nurse and even how to hold his head up. And the exhausting part- he’s sleeping like a newborn. He’s been waking up every 2 hours or so and wanting to eat. He has an amazing appetite which is helping him recover, but it’s just about killing Mommy.
Asher’s heart is healing quickly. He is on meds to help is heart pump well and occasional Tylenol to help with pain. You would not believe how great he looks! We are absolutely AMAZED at how quickly his little body has healed. God truly is the perfect healer.
