Prayer Requests for Surgery

On January 11, 2011, at just 3 months-old, Asher will undergo Open Heart Surgery to repair a congenital heart defect known as Tetraology of Fallot (TOF).

I prayed for this child, and the LORD
has granted me what I asked of him.
So now I give him to the LORD.

For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.
1 Samuel 1:27-28

Please pray for:

◘ Asher to be healthy and free of coughs, colds, respiratory viruses, or anything that would postpone surgery.

◘ The surgeons, Dr. Mill and his team, to have wisdom and skill in performing such a delicate procedure.

◘ God to give wisdom and direction to the nurses as they are caring for Asher.

◘ Us to have wisdom to know when to ask questions or pursue changes in Asher’s care.

◘ Asher to heal and recover quickly and that he would be
protected from infection and other sickness for a few months.

◘ Asher’s recovery to go smoothly, specifically that he would quickly remember how to eat/nurse. This is the determining factor in when he can leave the hospital.

◘ Our 3 year-old son, Brennan, as he will be in many people’s care while we are in the hospital. Pray that his little heart would be tender and understanding as we focus on getting Asher back to health.

◘ Us to completely trust the Lord with our son’s life and to
remember that ultimately He is in control (Romans 5:1-5).

Thank you!
