Steps in the Right Direction

*Sorry I posted these in the wrong order. This was supposed to get posted yesterdayWinking smile

We received our LOA today (now yesterday)!! The Letter of Acceptance (pictured here) just came in from China and asks us, in multiple languages, if we officially accept Campbell as our daughter. Um, YESSSSS!!

LOA

Random thoughts about this picture:

  1. I'm thankful for Marty being able to work from home this morning so he could be here to receive our LOA!
  2. (Mainly because the FedEx man just left OUR ENTIRE LIFE IN AN ENVELOPE ON THE PORCH IN THE POURING RAIN!)
  3. Ok, breathe. Given to hyperbole these days. Back to my list.
  4. I'm thankful for step-by-step directions from our agency for what to do with such an important document. (hint: makes lots of copies and send them all over the place: TX, TN, DC, etc.)
  5. It breaks my heart that Campbell's official status with the Chinese gov't translates as "foundling." It the same way it warms my heart to know that this document gets us one step closer to changing that status to "my daughter!"

So what's next you ask? Well, we sent this off to US Immigration. They will look it over and send us more official documents. Then we'll send all that back over to China to await approval from them to TRAVEL!

That could be (tentatively) 8-10 weeks from now!! Thanks for praying. And giving. And everything.
