Sorry for the delay on the update. We jumped right back into life.
Asher is home from the hospital. He had a very scary asthma attack. We finally got some things straight with Asher’s medical history and the doctors backed off of his treatment a bit. Turns out they were overmedicating him!?! His anatomy and previous surgeries make him a loud breather/wheezer. We got in touch with his regular Pulmonologist and she set the other Docs straight. Thankfully we avoided the ICU and adjustments were made to his meds.
So he is doing much better, breathing normally and playing. He is back on asthma meds regularly and that should help. Please continue to pray that we can determine what caused his attack. We would love to know to prevent it from happening again. Please, please pray that we could keep this kid out of the hospital for an extended period of time!
Oh my! Asthma can be a tricky thing to get under control & it isn't always exercise induced. Perhaps allergies are the culprit? Do they know yet?
