Brennan’s 3rd B-Day… Get your kicks on Route 66

Brennan turned 3 years old on March 10th. Unfortunately for him it was a very busy time for us. We cooked him pancakes for breakfast and let him open his presents, but then we had to leave for my first prenatal appointment. After that we had to pick up friends from the airport. Brennan actually spent a good bit of the day with a babysitter. For dinner that night we went out for Chinese (which Brennan now prefers over my cooking).

We didn’t have the cake ready yet so we put a candle on a brownie. Right after we took this picture, Brennan grabbed the candle and tried to take a bite out of it. He was a bit surprised that the candle was not candy!

Can you see the grin on his face?
He is playing with his new Chick Hicks car.

Of course that was not all we planned to celebrate his birthday. Two weeks later we had a big party outside in our apartment’s courtyard. The “Cars” themed party was a blast! All the kids brought bikes, tricycles, and other cars and we had a big race. I also made some fun props for the kids to play with- A gas pump, oil cans, rags for a bike wash, and a station for kids to make license plates for their bikes.

I am not posting party pics because a Birthday Video is coming soon!
