Campbell, Here we Come!

So our last blog update was almost two months ago. It’s been a tough wait…possibly the toughest wait yet in this whole process. In the meantime we have been trying to wrap up the fund raising and get stuff organized around the house. Updates on that later.

But mostly it’s been difficult to just wonder: when?!? Finally yesterday (11/3) we found out:

WE WILL PICK UP CAMPBELL ON NOVEMBER 17^th!

We received our Travel Approval on 10/31, and then our Consulate Appointment yesterday. That means we will leave here NEXT WEEK (the 12^th) and return on Thanksgiving Day with our daughter in hand!

So in the next 8 days we will be making kinds of plans for so many things. Plans for Brennan & Asher while we are gone, our travel plans and packing, plans for Campbell’s room, plans for a holiday that will look vastly different than it ever has, etc.

As we entered into that planning with a full-head of steam yesterday I was reminded of Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”

Would pray with us that we would have wisdom to plan according to the Lord’s purpose in all these things?

And most of all, we are so glad that we can celebrate together! Campbell is coming home to us so soon!!
